My name is Rachel Cooley, I’m a freshman at Miami University. I am writing this blog for the Safe Teen Driver Scholarship, to become a both a better driver and a better passenger. Living on campus as a freshman I don’t drive very often(only when I’m home for breaks) but I get rides from my friends and family quite often. On Miami’s campus many students partake in drinking both legally and illegally, then they want to drive afterwards. Encouraging people to not drink, have a designated driver, or hand over their keys can be difficult at times.
